Policy #1.10.1-Student Advisory

STUDENT ADVISORY COMMITTEE TO THE SCHOOL COMMITTEE AND STUDENT REPRESENTATION AT SCHOOL COMMITTEE MEETINGS

There shall be a five member Student Advisory Committee to the School Committee chosen by the general student body of the high school.

 

This Advisory Committee shall meet with the School Committee every other month as required by the general laws (Chapter 95 of the Acts of 1972).

 

One student shall be the permanent representative to the School Committee, shall be furnished with agendas of public sessions in advance of each such session and shall sit with the School Committee at each public meeting and at such selected executive sessions as the School Committee may designate.

 

Any reasonable alternative to the above format shall be considered acceptable so long as it provides channels of communication among students, staff, and administration.
