Please note that we are acutely aware of the heat today and are closely monitoring students in the building. We have taken extra precautions to keep students as comfortable as possible in the Middle School. Ceiling fans have been installed to better circulate the air and we have had fans running all night in classrooms. We also have large fans in the hallways to circulate air and teachers will be moving students to cooler spaces as needed. The ovens will be off in the cafeteria and extra water will be available to help keep students hydrated.
On Friday, September 11, we invite all Middle School students and staff to wear dark or royal blue to thank the first responders in our community for the hard work they do every day.
We are grateful for the first responders' recent support of our school and now it’s our turn to honor the work they do in keeping us safe!
We look forward to seeing our “students in blue” on Friday, September 11th!
The school handbook is found inside the student agenda book, which your child received on the first day of school. Please review this with your child and sign and return the forms indicated. Please note:
September 4, 2015
Dear Middle School families,
As I reflect on the opening of school, the memory of students arriving eager and excited to be here, makes me smile. My conversations with students at the end of the day, which were positive and upbeat, made it feel like a very good beginning - in spite of the unsettling events that occurred.
Tuesday, September 8 will be C-DAY in the Middle School.
Students will begin the day at 8am in their "Period 3" class.
Students will go to UA-1 (the same Unified Arts class they attended on the first day of school)
We hope the Millis Community enjoys a peaceful Labor Day weekend!
