The cold temperatures of the month of December, plus the forecast for the next week have slowed down the activities at the New School site. The site contractor has curtailed a lot of work due to frozen ground and inability to get their equipment running in these frigid temperatures. Once the weather goes above freezing, we anticipate a resumption of activities under winter conditions. The project remains on schedule and the items that are on the critical path can and will be done, regardless of the winter conditions.

Last week, the water line from the old Clyde Brown School to the Middle High School was relocated without any issues. Quite a bit of planning went into this effort and we applaud the efforts. Moving the water line was required to do more site work and prepare for the foundations.

If you were unable to attend the Ground-Breaking Ceremony for the new school, you can watch the video at http://www.millismedia.org/node/381.
