CUSTODY OF CHILDREN
3.2
Principals shall adhere to the statute on Custody of Children; access to the
child's records by noncustodial parent as amended in GLC 208 S31:
In making an order or judgment relative to the custody of children pending a
controversy between their parents, or relative to their final possession, the rights
of the parents shall, in the absence of misconduct, be held to be equal, and the
happiness and the welfare of the children shall determine their custody or
possession.
The entry of an order or judgment relative to the custody of minor children shall
not negate or impede the ability of the parent not granted custody to have such
access to the academic, medical, hospital, or other health records of the child, as
he would have had if the custody order or judgment had not been entered.
