Policy #1.9.3-Admission to Public Schools

ADMISSION TO THE PUBLIC SCHOOLS                                               1.9.3

No qualified resident of Millis shall be refused admittance as a pupil in any Millis school. A qualified resident shall be one who has been promoted to a particular grade by any public school system or any recognized private school. The date of the applicant's last attendance at a public or private school shall not be a disqualifying factor. The school is responsible for obtaining pupil records and students shall be admitted pending the receipt of said records. With the exception of entrance into kindergarten or grade one, age shall not be a disqualifying factor. It is not the intent of this policy, however, to prevent the administration and Pupil Personnel Services Department from planning a schedule for the applicant which is in keeping with his/her demonstrated abilities.
